Higher Purpose Living: Twelve Life-changing Questions

What if you are here for a purpose; a higher purpose, one far beyond your personal goals, aspirations, and ambitions? What if you absolutely knew this is to be true? What would happen if you tuned into this purpose fully?

Definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all achievement.

W. Clement Stone

For many people, this is a big, often overwhelming concept. For others, it can seem irrelevant. Purpose can lie buried in the muck and mire of setback and disappointment. It can get lost in the clouds of superficial success and prosperity.

Everything in the universe has a purpose. Indeed, the invisible intelligence that flows through everything in a purposeful fashion is also flowing through you.

Recently I was invited to coffee by Mike Johnson who I met through an executive networking group. As I often do, I showed up with a copy of The Ripple Effect to give him. But to my surprise, he showed up with his own copy, complete with copious notes in the section called “Cliff Diving: Your Higher Purpose.” He called these “life-changing questions.” Here are the

Twelve Life-changing Questions:

  1. When do you feel most alive?
  2. Who are you at your best?
  3. What qualities do you want to develop?
  4. What do you do naturally that affects others in a positive way?
  5. What moves you to the core?
  6. What subjects do you enjoy learning about and studying?
  7. What would you do with your life if money were not a factor?
  8. Which causes are you drawn to? Why?
  9. Who do you most admire? Why?
  10. How do you want the world to be different because of you?
  11. What legacy do you want to leave behind?
  12. If you could start again, what would you do differently?

“It’s never too late to be what you might have been.”

George Eliot
